A Day in Sète
Sète is a short 25 minutes by train from Montpellier, but the difference is worlds away. It has more of a relaxed South of France feel with its seaside charm but not without it’s share of urban culture–the graffiti awesome here as well as many other things. Here is a list of things you’ll find in Sète:
Good Eats
Tielle-a Setoise is a specialty made from peppered calamari and octopus enveloped in a special tomato sauce and a doughy crust
Moules- frites: simply mussels and fries. This popular dish was offered as all-you can-eat, but hardly anyone could manage a second pot.
Great Sights
You see those squares out in the distance? Those are for raising shellfish–notably oysters and mussels–which thrive in the coast’s temperate waters with a near absence of tides and plentiful plankton. Therefore Sete is a major site for shellfish production.
Mont St. Clair
